RAES is a non-profit organization that was established two years ago to raise funds for EMS in Delta and other rural Alaska Areas. In 2025, its primary focus will be the situation in Delta Junction. They are not active in any other area at this time.
RAES was established to raise funds for EMS. It was relatively quiet for the first two years and only really became actively involved in Delta in January 2025. Since then, it has been working hard and meeting often to work on a short-term solution (the interim contract with the City and DMT) and also develop a longer-term sustainable community-owned non-profit plan to be considered alongside all other options.
All the board are currently resident in Delta Junction.
President - Cody White
Vice President - Angela Lentz
Secretary - Lindsay Pinkelman
Treasurer - Krista Meeks
Additional Board Members:
Clark Richeson, Julia Phelan, Julia Phillips, Mark Zastavskiy, Sonya Hartmann, Steve Hilton.
Cody and Lindsay have been on the board since early on in its start. The other board members all came forward in early 2025 and expressed interest and ability to help further its mission – EMS services in Delta.
There are many definitions of what this means. RAES has a website that includes various information, including meeting minutes. We continue to update it with relevant information as we can. As the organization matures, so does our ability to share. We plan on regular public meetings in the near future but currently work in special meetings to navigate all the issues efficiently. These minutes are posted.
We are happy to answer questions sent to our email, and will also provide information through public announcements, etc. We do not intend in getting involved in Facebook discussions.
RAES does not have any paid staff. It is 100% volunteer. A small portion of donations will be needed for administrative costs, e.g.: corporation insurance, business license, and outreach, such as flyers. To this date, all of this has been paid out of pocket by volunteers. 100% of the rest will go to funding the RAES contract obligation for the next 12 months. Anything raised beyond that will be used to fund EMS into the future, supporting the most sustainable plan with the most merit.
