This cannot be done sustainably by any one single entity.  It relies on all the parties to come together to provide the best service. Below is a list of items that each group can contribute.


City

  • Funding the 12-month Interim Service Contract with DMT and RAES
  • CITY COUNCIL  NEEDS TO VOTE YES ON FRIDAY 28TH
  • 911 Service contract (currently in place)
  • Use of Fire Station and quarters (currently in place)
  • Mutual Aid Agreement with Fort Greely (currently in place)
  • PILT Grant funding
  • SEMT funding (SEMT is funding from the state that covers some of the shortfall from Medicaid and Medicare billing)
  • Funding from the landfill and any other sources  (currently in place)


RAES

  • Provide funding for the 12-month Interim Service Contract with City and DMT
  • Present non-profit community-owned EMS proposal
  • Community donations - DONATE NOW PLEASE - https://emsalaska.org
  • Corporate donations
  • Large grant funding
  • Endowment funds
  • Fundraisers


DMT

  • Provide 12-month Interim Service under Contract with City and RAES
  • Provide training resources for future EMS and Delta volunteers
  • Aid and advise on a transition to a non-profit community-owned EMS


Fort Greely

  • Provide backup EMS service under the Mutual Aid Agreement


DCC

  • Grant funding
  • CAP funds
  • Other community funds raised that can be distributed to the EMS


Public 

  • Donate with a tax-deductible recurring payment to the non-profit EMS service
  • Support Delta's EMS by sharing accurate information
